Rates for Therapy
The fee for my services is comparable to other professionals in the South Bay area. I have a standard rate for individual therapy but prefer to discuss this information in person or over the phone. Please contact me for more detailed information regarding my fee for therapy services.
Should the need arise, I may consider offering a reduced fee rate in special circumstances and/or based on financial need.
A typical therapy session is 45-50 minutes in length and is typically held on a weekly basis. However, the frequency of sessions may be modified depending on your needs and concerns.
Insurance
I am considered an out-of-network provider for many insurance plans. While I do not work directly with insurance or other third party payers, I am able to provide a receipt of services (super bill) that you may submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Whether your insurance provider will cover the costs for an out-of-network provider depends on your insurance plan and benefits.
Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost within one calendar year. Under the law, health care providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate.
